SUPER SMASH BROS. COMMUNITY

There are tons of artist out there celebrating the characters that make the upcoming Smash Ultimate so amazing by drawing up a daily render of all the characters within the game! Naturally, I wanted to do that at first too, but I later decided to put my own spin on it! So two weeks ago, I’d asked Twitter who/what their favorite Super Smash Bros. memes, content creators, characters, etc.were.

Using their input, I updated this massive poster every day with a new fighter, starting with Masahiro Sakurai, Etika, and M a y o, a Youtuber that makes some amazingly hilarious Smash Bros edits such as this one!

Now, After days upon days of input from the Smash Community, I’ve put together a massive poster celebrating as much of the community as I could possibly muster! All leading up to THIS BEHEMOTH:

I even made a video celebrating everyone in the art!

Why’d I do all this? Well, it all started with one individual and their story:

Chris Taylor (@SpookyWoobler on Twitter) For those that don’t know, Chris was a fellow member of the community who lost his battle with cancer in September. He feared never being able to play Ultimate b4 his passing…

But thanks to the efforts of this community of ppl, Nintendo took notice of his situation and gave him and his friends the chance to play Ultimate’s E3 demo build in the comfort of his home. ( you can check his Twitter to research it all since Tumblr isnt the kindest to Twitter links on their site. )

I was in awe and tears that ppl from varied walks of life banded together to give Chris a chance to experience the game before cancer took over him. Alot of you guys did that. You know who you are. You’re why I’m making this.

The hype behind Smash 4 was my 1st taste of Smash’s online community ( I was too young to join during Brawl’s period. ) Every new character/mode reveal felt like a massive party of humor, excitement, and passion. Art, music, reactions, YTP’s, ALL OF IT!! This is my contribution to to it all.

Thank you all for making Smash Bros. a game worth celebrating not just bc of Sakurai,& Sora Ltd. ’s hard work and passion, but also because of how friggin’ insane & FUN Y'ALL ARE! Better yet, the majory of u all know how to get along with eachother. U guys rock. that is all.
